Vintage Table Cloths

Vintage Table Cloths

The large cloth has been stitched by Betty in Monday's sewing group. It was a very old kit Betty found, the design already stamped onto the linen, which is the most beautiful quality! Betty has brought it to life!!

The lily cloth was stitched by Margaret, a customer I have known for many years! I think the kit was her mother's, so again the quality of linen is beautiful. I sewed the lace around the edge for her.

Around the Shop

I have great fun creating different displays for the shop! All the vintage linen you see in the cloths and doilies is either my mother's or some of the many, many beautiful items ladies give me - I treasure them!! You will see jars of buttons, old wooden cotton reels etc all around the shop!

Thread painting is her absolute favourite style of embroidery! She brings in a picture, says to Bev I'd like to stitch this next and away they go!

When it's finished, she comes to my patchwork class and we make  them up as cushions.

They are beautifully stitched Celia!

Marj's Australian Native Blanket

Marj stitched this during our many lockdowns, with Ana's guidance when we were able to have classes. There wasn't any piping in a suitable colour, so we used 1/4 inch ribbon!! Needless to say it was a challenge for me to back, but it looks awesome!

RCH Group

RCH Group

These wonderful ladies meet at the shop each fortnight to make items to sell and raise money for the Royal Children's Hospital. As you can imagine it's been slim pickings the last 2 years, but they keep coming!

Window displays are from Easter 2021 raising money for the Good Friday Appeal. As we hadn't been able to have the usual stalls at the hospital due to Covid, I had only RCH items in the window for 2 weeks.
