Christmas 2024 News
Hello ladies!
I hope everyone is organised for all the upcoming Christmas activities! I’m not, I’m very much a last minute girl, although I will be starting the Christmas shopping tomorrow and not my usual 23td December, so I guess I’ll be ahead of schedule!!
Lots of news today – firstly the arrival of my new grandson! Baby William David arrived on the 17th November – he is my son Matthew and daughter-in-law Sarah’s first baby, and is just adorable! There’s nothing quite like cuddling a newborn to warm your heart!
These past couple of weeks have been very busy – so many deliveries of flannel! Just in time to get a start on your quilts for winter. I haven’t got them on the website as yet – that’ll be a project for the Christmas break! I’ve also got lots of cottons – big bold floral prints! There will definitely be a new project happening during the holidays!
We will again be attending the Australasian Quilt Convention at the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton. That will be held from 10th – 13th of April next year. Save the date for that, it’s a great show!
I am holding some all day classes in January before our regular weekly classes start. The dates are Thursday 16th, Monday 20th and Friday 24th January. The classes are from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm and cost $90.00. These are free choice classes, so you can bring a new project to make a start, bring one to finish, bring one that you’re stuck on or bring along a project to help you get back into doing something just for you!
These days are great fun – just send me an email to book your spot!!
The shop will be closing from lunchtime December 18th until Monday 13th January. I would like to send my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has come into the shop this year – whether to do classes, make a purchase or simply having a browse and a chat! You are the reason I’m so happy to come to work every day and I have no idea what I’d do with myself without this place! As I always say I haven’t worked a day since I bought the shop …… and that is coming up to 20 years!!
Wishing you all a safe and happy Christmas, and I’ll be looking forward to seeing you next year.
Warmest Regards,
Therese
